About Us

At Elk Grove Teen Center USA, we’re committed to creating a place where every young person can easily realize their value and potential.

We believe that providing children a nurturing environment is essential to their overall development.

Our goals are to shape the way they live their lives and teach them the fundamentals of social responsibility and healthy living.

Who We Are

Empowering Teens in Elk Grove and Beyond

Teen Center USA Elk Grove has been serving teens in Elk Grove since 1990. There is no cost to participate in any of our programs.
We provide core developmental building blocks for our teens’ mental, physical, social and spiritual well-being. To achieve this goal, we have focused on supporting our youth through teen empowerment and boundary management. We also have high expectations for the youth that are involved in our program. Specifically, we work to ensure that our program participants use their time constructively, are committed to learning and building solid values, self-esteem, and most importantly, their character.
The Teen Center has established positive relationships with hundreds of area teens each year by providing them with a place to gather, sending them a positive message of truth and helping them to change the direction of their lives.

Our Programs

Drop In Center

The Drop In Center is usually open Monday thru Friday after school and during the summertime.  Adult staff is on hand to help them reinforce values that they have received at school.

TCUSA also provides opportunities for students to do community service at the center as well as at or with other community organizations.

Mobile Teen Center USA

Our Mobile Teen Center allows our staff to reach a larger number of teens within Elk Grove and surrouning areas who are in need of love, support and consistency.

The Mobile Teen Center is equipped with a game area, a skate board and bike repair area, and recreational sports equipment to provide more opportunities to build positive relationships with teens in our community.

Friday Night Kickback

Our Friday Night events, which take place after hours, from 7pm-9pm. We encourage relationship building on a deeper level between our members and students.

With movie nights, game nights, video game tournaments, and even karaoke nights, we create opportunities for fun in a safe environment. We also provide food and drinks after all the fun.

Homework Help

Our staff members are here to ensure that teens in our community are thriving in their environment and lives. If students are interested, we have staff who tutor in Spanish, Biology, English, Chemistry, Psychology, Astronomy, and History. Tutoring requests must be made in advance at the front desk.
*Note: We currently do NOT have anyone who is able to tutor math

Teen Center Leadership and Community Service Club

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Laguna Sunrise, Teen Center USA Interact gives teens ages 12-18 the chance to make a real difference while having fun. Any teen is welcome to join. Interact is about making new friends, learning leadership skills, and giving back to the community. Additionally Interact club carries out two service projects a year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding.

DONATE ITEMS
Many businesses & individuals become a supporter by donating in-kind goods & services. Sometimes a product can be just as valuable as a monetary donation, especially during our special events. Currently we are seeking items to be donated for our Annual Dinner, Show & Auction as well as art supplies for the upcoming school year.

JORDAN SNYDER MEMORIAL FUND

Forever in Our Hearts and Never Forgotten

Jordan “Joe” was born on August 29, 2002, in Sacramento and lived most of his life in Elk Grove. He attended Harriet Eddy Middle School, Elk Grove High School, Laguna Creek High School, and, most recently, SAVA Charter School. We lost him forever on August 6, 2018. Jordan was a gentle soul, with a quirky sense of humor and a lot of creative energy. He loved video games, hanging out with his friends, and making people laugh. He was loved and will be deeply missed. Joe is survived by his parents, Daniel and Beth Snyder, his siblings, Chloe, Caleb, and Nicholas, his birth mother, Heather Parsons, and a large extended family including grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

This page has been brought to you through the Jordan Snyder Memorial Fund. Wherever you’re at in your life and whatever you may be struggling with, these organizations can assist you in getting the support that you need. If you or someone you know is in need of help, please reach out to someone as soon as possible.
