We will have two stages, one for the Western Idol contest at Rotary Grove and the Main Stage at Strauss Island. 
The Main Stage will feature outstanding entertainers from the greater Sacramento area.

Friday Night — 6pm-9pm

Long Time – A Tribute to the band  Boston

They are a premier Northern California-based six-piece ensemble that has performed for over a decade, known for reproducing Boston’s complex, harmony-heavy sound without backing tracks. They deliver a precise live experience featuring classic hits from the 1970s and 80s. 

This group is recognized as a long-running, dedicated tribute focusing on the celestial guitar sounds and vocal harmonies of the original band. They have performed extensively in the region, including shows at the Firehouse Arts Center.

Saturday from 2pm-5pm

The California Cowboys

R. W. Smith and the California Cowboys deliver a powerful sound, with the clear punch of tight three-part harmonies. And such rowdy, foot stompin’ original songs as “We Ride’ em We Rope’ em” and “Double Shot of Hank”, it’s easy to see this band will always go over in a big way with any audience. As lead singer and song-writer, R.W. is the polished showman. He dances and jokes with the audience while delivering top billing entertainment. Together with drummer Hal Atkinson (CCMA’s Drummer of the year, 1994), guitar player Gary Potterton ( producer of “Grandma got run over by a Reindeer”. bass player, Bill Mooney and legendary Steel Guitarist, Bobby Black. These fine musicians form one of California’s most successful country-western bands. With a solid draw and non-stop show, promoters and sponsors know the Cowboys can fill the seats with cheering audiences. Catch this show from 2-5 pm on Saturday on the Main Stage at Strauss Island .

The Pub Kats

The Pub Kats are bringing their show to Elk Grove for a Saturday Afternoon of fun and dance at the Western Festival. It’s going to be a great afternoon full of fun at the fair with the Pub Kats providing the music for the scene. You won’t want to miss a good excuse for a road trip!

Innersoul

Innersoul is a sophisticated R&B / Sacramento Old School dance band whose soulfully artistic renditions of R&B and Latin dance classics arouse dancers of all musical persuasions. The Sacramento dance band creates soulful dance grooves that are pure emotional fire! “Innersoul” has become Sacramento’s most captivating, energetic and entertaining musical group. The band’s sets are arranged to keep the audience dancing to old school and latin music.

Innersoul has appeared in a variety of venues throughout Northern California. Innersoul specializes in corprate events from large to small. Innersoul also performs at various nightclubs, restaurants, parks, county fairs and casinos.

Innersoul has also recenlty named one of the top bands in the Sacramento region by KCRA Channel 3, an NBC affiliate in Sacramento.

Western Idol

This great activity will return to the Western Festival this year. You will find it at the Rotary Grove Stage.
